Summer Is Flying By

I have been so busy all summer, I can’t believe how fast it’s going by. I just got back from a week in Wildwood. I got to relax in a resort and pretty much do whatever I wanted all week. I went parasailing for the first time ever. I am afraid of heights so this was a real fear of mine to conquer. Once I was up in the sky though, I felt nothing but free. I could see down the coastline for miles and could see miles of the ocean. It was amazing. We even got dipped in the ocean a little bit. It cooled me off because it was nothing but 90 degrees all week. Of course I had to be sarcastic and I screamed “shark” before they dropped me in.

I got to spend one of my days in Altantic City with my best friend and my cousin Sara. We went to the new resort, Revel, and it was goregous. We got to go onto the rooftop and see the indoor/outdoor pool, the garden and just the view. The place is huge! The casino is amazing looking and we even got to play a little bit while we were there. We then went to the beach and just relaxed the day away. It was a real nice day, as you can see from the picture below, and we got some color on the beach.

The rest of the week was great as well. I ended up winning a skee ball tournament on the boardwalk one night and I go to go into the money pit and grab all the dollars I could while they were flying around. It was a great time. At first, I didn’t even want to do the contest but my dad convinced me and I beat everyone. It was my first try too. People had been playing game after game and I beat them all in one shot. Only I would have luck like that. I really needed this vacation and I’m glad I got to go and spend it with my family.

We had our first co-ed softball game yesterday. We ended up losing 8-4 but it was a great game. My team really played well and I was proud of them. We only had one practice due to scheduling conflicts but I feel that we are going to be a tough team to battle with. I had a really good day in the field. I made some good catches and I’m really excited for the rest of the season. I batted .500 with a single and a fielder’s choice so I’ll take it.

Today was my first day back at work. Let’s just say, I want to go back to beach and spend the rest of my life there! Tomorrow, I go back to my part time job at Joe’s Crab Shack as well and I am excited to see all my co-workers. I know they all miss me, I keep getting texts from them about it! So far, this year has been turning out okay after a rocky start.
